A new TNA Champion was crowned on the company’s first show since its Bound for Glory pay-per-view four weeks ago. During the TNA iMPACT taping for Nov. 13, there was a massive title change that took place. Let’s take a deeper dive into what happened and dissect what it means going forward.
Frankie Kazarian Becomes TNA Champion
The TNA Championship has officially changed hands as Frankie Kazarian walked out of TNA iMPACT as the world champion. Mike Santana started off the show as the champion and this was the first time he was in front of the crowd since winning the championship at Bound For Glory.
He would thank the fans and tell the TNA roster to step up before Ryan Nemeth would challenge him for a championship match later that night. The two would wrestle in the main event of the show and the match would end in a no contest after Robert Stone, Lexis King, Chrlie Dempsey, High Ryze, Stacks, and Brooks Jensen would all get involved.
However, Frankie Kazarian would take advantage of things and cash in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy, which he co-won with Nic Nemeth at Bound For Glory, for an automatic title match. After 53 seconds, Kazarian would record the win and claim his first TNA World Championship.
This title win also made Kazarian the sixth Grand Slam champion in the history of the promotion, joining:

- Abyss
- Samoa Joe
- Eric Young
- Austin Aries
