Eagles Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown Celebrating a Late Touchdown vs Raiders

Eagles Steamroll Disappointing Raiders to Snap 3-Game Skid

The Eagles were in full control of this game from start to finish throughout the duration of this matchup against the Raiders for a 31-0 victory at the Linc. Jalen Hurts, after a five-turnover day just six days ago, had a flawless performance on Sunday, throwing three touchdown passes and totaling 214 yards. Saquon Barkley had 78 yards on the ground and a touchdown as well on 22 carries. This has to feel good for the Eagles’ offense, which has had some struggles throughout this season. Even though it’s the Raiders, this could give the Eagles some momentum moving forward.

The Eagles’ Offense Got Right Early and Often

Dallas Goedert had two receiving touchdowns in this electric day for the offense, along with AJ Brown catching a late touchdown for Philadelphia. The Eagles’ offensive rhythm looked crisp for the first time all season in this game, as they only had three penalties on the day as a team. The Eagles’ offensive flow was the most impressive part of this game as a whole because it looked like the 2024 and 2022 teams easily.

Hurts’ control of the game as a quarterback commanding the offense after having his worst performance of his career last Monday. After the drama of the week as a result of that performance vs the Chargers, it was great to see Hurts answer the bell and deliver a huge performance. Now let’s talk about this defensive performance to force the shutout. He had a great post-game answer about his resolution after the game …

The Eagles’ Defense was on Fire Once Again

How do you follow a seven sack and three turnover performance on Monday night in LA? Well, you get a four sack and an interception for a dominant shutout at home in a must-win game. Brandon Graham had two sacks on the day for his best performance since he came out of retirement earlier this season. The defense held the Raiders to a staggering 75 yards of total offense on the day. This Eagles defense is going to be a tough matchup for anyone in the postseason, especially when Jalen Carter returns from his injury.

Final Thoughts

This Eagles win puts them a step closer to clinching the NFC East once again and ending the 20-year curse of no back-to-back repeat winners of the division. It has been a bumpy ride this season to say the very least, but if the Eagles can go on a run in the postseason, all will be worth it in the very end. The confidence meter of the possible run happening is going to be determined by how they play in the final stretch of this season, which started with this game. Now the mission moves to the Commanders on Saturday in Week 16.
