Exciting Start To College World Series With Huge Upsets As Teams Prepare For Super Regionals

College World Series

There were several huge upsets in the regional round of this year’s Men’s College World Series. Vanderbilt became the first No. 1 overall seed to not make it to the regional final after falling to Wright State. The 2nd seeded Texas Longhorns lost to UTSA. The Roadrunners advance to super regionals for the first time in program history.

Those two upsets mean it’s the second time since 1999 that the top 2 seeds failed to reach super regionals. No. 10 Ole Miss. No. 7 Georgia, No. 11 Clemson, and No. 12 Oregon were also eliminated. 16 teams are remaining and 8 of them will move on to Omaha.
