Charlotte Hornets-Tre Mann Agree To 2-Year Contract

Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets and Guard Tre Mann agreed on a three-year $24 million contract Tuesday evening. His 2024-2025 season was cut short because of a back injury. During his 13 games, Mann played well. He averaged 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3 assists during his time on the floor. How will he play with the Charlotte Hornets going forward?

Charlotte Hornets Season Outlook

Mann returns to a Hornets team that is rebuilding. He will play alongside Point Guard LaMelo Ball, newly-acquired Collin Sexton, and recent draft picks, Kon Knueppel and Ryan Kalkbrenner. It has been a difficult few seasons in Charlotte. Their moves this offseason do not make it seem like the losing will stop any time soon.

Final Thoughts

Mann will start the season as a bench piece. His role may begin to increase as the season goes on. Ball is a talented player, but he is one of the more injury-prone individuals in the NBA. If Ball is unable to stay on the court, Mann will be called to fill in.
