Dallas Cowboys Offensive Weapon Added To NFC Pro Bowl Roster

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who is sidelined due to injury. This marks Ferguson’s second career Pro Bowl selection and adds to a standout season for the fourth-year player.

A Career Year for Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson

Jake Ferguson, 25, enjoyed a breakout season in 2025, setting career highs in receptions (82) and touchdowns (8). His 600 receiving yards were second only to his 2023 total of 761 yards. Ferguson’s performance solidified his role as a key contributor in the Cowboys’ offense, which also featured 1,000-yard receivers George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, as well as running back Javonte Williams, who rushed for over 1,200 yards.

Ferguson’s eight touchdown receptions tied him with some of the best seasons by a Cowboys tight end, falling just one short of the franchise record of nine, set by Jason Witten and Billy Joe DuPree. He also became only the second Cowboys tight end, alongside Witten, to record more than 80 catches in a single season.

Joining Elite Company

With this Pro Bowl selection, Ferguson becomes the fifth Cowboys tight end in franchise history to earn multiple Pro Bowl nods. He joins an elite group that includes Jason Witten (11 selections), Jay Novacek (5), and Billy Joe DuPree (3). Ferguson’s consistent production and ability to make plays in critical moments have made him a fan favorite and a reliable target for quarterback Dak Prescott.

A Reward for Hard Work

Ferguson’s Pro Bowl selection comes after he signed a four-year, $50 million contract extension with the Cowboys during training camp. The deal, which averages $12.5 million per year, makes him the eighth highest-paid tight end in the NFL and ensures he will remain a cornerstone of the Cowboys’ offense through at least 2029.

Pro Bowl Details

The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will take place on February 3 at Moscone Center in San Francisco, featuring a variety of skills competitions and a 7-on-7 flag football game. Ferguson will join five other Cowboys on the NFC roster: Dak Prescott, George Pickens, Tyler Smith, Quinnen Williams, and Brandon Aubrey.

What’s Next for Ferguson?

Ferguson’s Pro Bowl selection is a testament to his growth and impact as a player. As he continues to develop, he has the potential to further cement his legacy as one of the top tight ends in Cowboys history. For now, fans can look forward to seeing him represent Dallas on the Pro Bowl stage.
