The Philadelphia Eagles have been aggressive in attempting to bolster their roster, and on Monday, the team was able to do just that. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that they have acquired running back Tank Bigsby from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2026 5th and 6th-round pick. This move adds depth to the Eagles’ running back room behind Saquon Barkley.

The Eagles have been incredibly active in the trade market, as in the last few weeks, the team has traded for wide receiver John Metchie III, quarterback Sam Howell, offensive tackle Fred Johnson, offensive tackle Darian Kennard, and now Bigsby.

Bigsby is in his third year in the NFL and the 24-year-old has been a backup running back behind Travis Etienne Jr. So far in his career, Bigsby has played in 34 games and recorded 223 rushing attempts for 910 yards (4.1 yards per carry) with nine rushing touchdowns as well as eight receptions for 60 yards (7.5 yards per catch). It will be interesting to see how the Philadelphia Eagles are going to utilize Bigsby as a result of this trade.

The team’s current depth chart has four running backs expected to be on the 53-man roster right now. The running backs on the team’s depth chart following this trade:

  • Saquon Barkley
  • Will Shipley
  • A.J. Dillon
