Antron Brown, a guy who has practically defined consistency and class in the NHRA, announced recently that AB Motorsports is partnering with Red Line Oil starting with the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.
To the casual observer, this might look like just another logo on the side of a 330-mph rocket. But if you follow the sport and you know the people involved, you know this is about two heavyweights joining forces who view racing through the exact same lens.
Welcome to the Family: The #TeamRedLineOil Vibe
One of the things that has always made Antron Brown a fan favorite, aside from his incredible resume, is his warmth. The guy is a competitor, sure, but he treats the paddock like a community. It turns out that’s exactly why Red Line Oil wanted him on board. Mark Beatty, the Brand Director over at Red Line Oil, didn’t talk about corporate synergy or return on investment when the news broke.
He talked about family.“We view #TeamRedLineOil as family drivers, riders, teams from all walks of life and types of racing,” Beatty said. He mentioned that kicking off 2026 with Antron Brown and the AB Motorsports crew is pretty much the perfect way to start the year.
It’s a sentiment that clearly goes both ways. Brown isn’t just looking for a sponsor to cut a check; he’s looking for partners who get it. He noted that being part of the Red Line family is a thrill because they share a “racing-first” mindset. When you’re at the track every weekend, grinding through qualifying and elimination rounds, you want to be surrounded by people who love the sport as much as you do.
Why Performance Matters More Than Ever

Let’s talk about the mechanical side for a second. Top Fuel dragsters are engineering marvels, but they are also incredibly fragile if everything isn’t perfectly dialed in. We are talking about engines pushed to the absolute brink of destruction for less than 4 seconds at a time.
Antron Brown put it best when he said, “When you’re competing in Top Fuel, you don’t get second chances. Everything has to perform at the highest level, every single run.”That is the reality of the sport. You can’t pull over to the shoulder if the oil pressure drops. You don’t get a “do-over.”
This is why the partnership with Red Line Oil is a strategic move for AB Motorsports. Red Line has been in the game for decades. They have a reputation for attention to detail and a commitment to racers that fits perfectly with the high standards Brown sets for his own operation.
With this new partnership, the AB Motorsports team is heading into the 2026 season focused on momentum and preparation. They have the talent, and now they have a lubricant partner that matches their intensity.
A Legend Growing His Legacy
It is wild to think about how far Antron Brown has come. He was recently named to the NHRA Top 75 Drivers list as part of the league’s 75th-anniversary celebrations, cementing his status as one of the greats. But he isn’t resting on his laurels.
Since launching AB Motorsports in 2019 and hitting the track in 2022, Brown has balanced the stress of being an owner with the focus required to be a driver. And he’s crushed it, racking up 13 wins in just his first four seasons as an owner. He also made history (again) in 2024 by becoming the first Black owner-driver to win a Top Fuel championship.
But what adds that layer of human warmth to Brown’s story is what he’s doing for the next generation. He’s still heavily invested in his Accelerate Program, a driver development initiative he launched back in 2023.
He’s bringing up names like Angelle Sampey, helping them navigate the professional ranks. It’s rare to see a guy chasing his fifth championship while actively helping others come up behind him, but that’s just who Brown is.
All Eyes on Gainesville
So, what’s next? The calendar is turning, and the itch to get back on the track is real. Brown will officially begin his quest for that fifth Top Fuel title when the engines fire up at the NHRA Gatornationals.
It all goes down March 5-8 at the legendary Gainesville Raceway in Florida. It’s going to be loud, it’s going to be fast, and for AB Motorsports, it’s going to be the start of a fresh chapter with Red Line Oil. If history is any indication, this partnership is going to be one to watch.
