The Orlando Magic have launched a new sleek rebrand that combines the old 90s style with a little bit of a Modern look, especially with the Logo and a couple of the jerseys. This rebrand was causing some intrigue during the day on Tuesday, as the Magic will debut these new uniforms and the rebrand logo starting this upcoming season, and they will have the ability to showcase these new uniforms in October, when the season starts.

The New Logo

The Logo is a nice update to the old logo, with blue and black as the primary colors in the logo, with the stars flowing out of the basketball. The stars are coming out of the back of the basketball in the logo is a subtle touch, a nod to the old 90s logo. This modern take also looks clean on the court as well. As seen below…

This logo gets an A from me, from this perspective. Now let’s move to the Jerseys.

The New Jerseys

The tweet above showcases the three stars of the franchise, Jalen Suggs, Paolo Banchero, and Franz Wagner, in each of the three new jerseys. Starting with the blue jersey, the only qualm that I have with that one is that the Orlando font is a little small, with the proportions in the center. But the other two jerseys are a chef kiss in quality, especially the black jersey with not only the Jordan logo, but the real connection to the old 90s style with a modern twist. I would buy either a black jersey or a white one. The blue one is still good, but not the most satisfying. Here is a video of Dwight Howard revealing the Magic Jerseys:

Final Thoughts

Overall, the rebrand as a whole for the Magic is a huge win in terms of the impact on the potential marketing and aesthetics of the team. Now, if the team struggles next year, maybe some of the stuff is going to be a small struggle to get used to. But this was a much-needed change for a team that has been in the same branding for a while now. This was the right time, essentially.
