Anthony Edwards had a phenomenal game in Game 4 for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their 116-113 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Edwards finished with 43 points, nine rebounds, six assists and a block for the T-Wolves in this game as they took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Lakers. Edwards has been one of the most consistent star players in these playoffs thus far. Let’s take a deeper look at the performance of Edwards from this game.
Edwards Once Again is Making a Name for Himself in The Playoffs
Ant-Man’s 43 points on Sunday mark the fifth time in his young career in the Playoffs that he has reached the 40-point threshold, easily the most in Timberwolves history, as there have been only two other 40-point playoff games in franchise history. Ant-Man has easily become the best Minnesota Timberwolves player since Kevin Garnett.
If he has another Conference Finals run this year, he’ll surpass KG, and this performance on Sunday helps solidify that claim, as the poise and ability to score in the playoffs so effortlessly. Edwards on Sunday was also very efficient once again from the field as he shot 12-for-23 overall, and 5-10 from three-point range in this game as well. I called this in the DFS article I wrote earlier in the day for Total Apex Bets and Fantasy.
He did all of this in 44 minutes played, so his stamina and energy levels are VERY HIGH. This Edwards performance might have slammed the door SHUT on THE LA LAKERS THIS SEASON. People were thinking that the Lakers were going to have an easy ride in this series at the beginning of it, but Ant-Man has turned the hopes and dreams of Lakers fans into mush just like that. Edwards once again shows everybody not to doubt him, and he is going to be a Superstar in this league for a long time, especially in the Playoffs.
Final Thoughts
This Game 4 performance was the perfect game for Edwards, for popular basketball YouTuber Kenny Beecham, as he made a video on it that explains it in great detail. I agree with everything that Beecham said in his video verbatim, as ANT-MAN has overcome every adjustment that JJ Redick has thrown at him in this series and made the Lakers pay for not having a solid big that they can go to down the stretch. Edwards and the Timberwolves to advancing to the Second Round on Wednesday night in LA. Total Apex Sports has plenty of NBA Coverage and will have more throughout these playoffs.
