Despite having so many options ahead of him, Anthony Joshua is intent on beating Daniel Dubois to win the IBF heavyweight title. It is a fight that will bring him back to action as a three-time heavyweight world champion. More information from his promoter Eddie Hearn announced that Joshua is set to face Dubois in a title fight scheduled for September 21. Hearn also points out that the fighter’s current concern is this fight because the victory may lead to more world title bouts.
Anthony Joshua’s Evolving Training
Anthony Joshua’s training team has undergone significant changes. With new coach Ben Davison, Anthony Joshua has found a renewed sense of form and strategy. Hearn expresses confidence in Anthony Joshua’s potential, saying,
“When he fully gets the gameplan and when it’s fully drilled I think he’s unbeatable. And that’s how we feel at the moment.”
For his part, Hearn admitted that he had respect for Dubois but that he knew that he usually made mistakes that could facilitate his planning. Hearn is hopeful that a dominant win against Dubois will set the stage for an exciting and successful year ahead for Joshua. However, one must know that the fighter’s goal is not limited to the matchup with Dubois only.
Usyk Vs. Fury

This appears most prominently after his fight against Dubois. This will see the top WBO focus on Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk showdown. The two fighters will face each other again on December 21st in Riyadh. Fury and Usyk have faced each other only once, and it was in an event that took place in May of this year when the latter outperformed the former to become the reigning heavyweight champion.
When Anthony Joshua comes up victorious against Dubois, he will want a shot at the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight because he wants to be the world’s undisputed heavyweight champion. According to Hearn, he expects that regardless of the outcome of this fight, Joshua will want to take on Fury. The fact that he has the chance to fight him for the title shot would be a dream come true for Joshua. Should Usyk win in December, Joshua would be eager for a rematch but might also feel the need to fight Fury based on the outcome of that fight.
Joshua’s Journey To Being Heavyweight Champion
It is a journey marked by key fights and choices that put the great Anthony Joshua on the map as possibly the greatest heavyweight fighter. Currently, Joshua’s primary interest lies in Daniel Dubois and the possible fight against the victorious fighter of the Usyk-Fury fight. This would indicate that he is poised for a major performance in the heavyweight segment in the upcoming years.
This is going to be an amazing and enthusiastic fight for the fans, these astonishing fights will attract lots of fans in the Middle East, specifically in Saudi Arabia. Joshua is fully prepared to take down his opponent and his fans are there to support their favorite fighter.
