The Boston Red Sox offense had an afternoon to remember today on the road against the Minnesota Twins. They scored 13 runs in a 13-1 drubbing of the Minnesota Twins. Center Fielder Jarren Duran led the way with 4 RBI. First Baseman Romy Gonzalez and DH Masataka Yoshida had 3 RBI apiece. Red Sox Starting Pitcher Brayan Bello was great as well. He surrendered one earned run over seven innings of work. Can the Boston Red Sox keep it going?
Boston Red Sox Season Summary
It has been a strong regular season for the Boston Red Sox. They are in third place in the American League East and in the second AL wild card spot. As was on display today against the Twins, Boston’s offense is one of the league’s best. They are seventh in batting average, ninth in home runs, and fourth in runs scored.
It remains unclear how aggressive Boston will be at the 2025 MLB Trade Deadline. The Red Sox have been linked to players like Twins Closer Jhoan Duran, Rays First Baseman Yandy Diaz, and Marlins Starting Pitcher Sandy Alcantara. Nothing is set in stone, though. A shrewd move or two in the next 24 hours could help put the Boston Red Sox over the top.
Final Thoughts
Boston has a day off tomorrow before beginning a three-game series at home against the Houston Astros on Friday. The MLB world will wait with bated breath as they keep an eye on what the Boston Red Sox will do next.
