Caitlin Clark Making Progress: Out Against LA Sparks

The Indiana Fever released their injury report on Friday morning ahead of their matchup against the LA Sparks Friday night. Caitlin Clark remains sidelined for the matchup. The Fever have the sixth-best record in the WNBA entering Friday’s contest.  Indiana only has a two-game advantage over Los Angeles, which is outside of the playoff cut line.

Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark Out For Friday Night

Caitlin Clark has increased her workload through individualized drills and non-contact practices to return for the regular season’s final few games, potentially.  This makes the 2024 No. 1 pick’s 17th consecutive game missed with the right groin injury less of a surprise. With Clark out for Friday night’s matchup, this will be her 26th regular-season game and 27th overall game out with injury.

This is also including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final. In addition, the sharpshooter Chloe Bibby is expected to play Friday night against the Sparks. Bibby had missed the previous three games since reporting discomfort in her left knee before Indiana’s Aug. 22 home game against Minnesota.

Final Thoughts: Caitlin Clark

Throughout her nine games with the Fever, Bibby is averaging 3.9 points per game on 35.7% shooting from the floor, 39.1% from 3-point territory, and 85.7% from the free-throw line. The Indiana Fever have five regular-season games remaining in the WNBA season, while the LA Sparks have seven games left. With these two final meetings between the teams, this could make or break their seasons, as to who advances into the playoffs.
