Inside Look: Kansas City Chiefs Week 5 Injury Report for 2025 NFL Season

The Kansas City Chiefs injury report as they prepare for their Monday Night Football matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While several players appeared on the report, most participated fully in practice on Friday.

Full Participants Lead the Way

Eight of the nine players listed on Kansas City’s injury report were full participants in Friday’s practice session. This group includes several key contributors who are expected to suit up Monday night.

Patrick Mahomes (groin) showed no limitations during practice, participating fully despite the minor injury designation. The quarterback’s presence ensures offensive continuity for the Chiefs’ attack.

Marquise Brown (ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) both practiced without restrictions, providing depth at the wide receiver position. Xavier Worthy (shoulder) also participated fully, giving Kansas City multiple receiving options.

On the offensive line, Jawaan Taylor (knee) took every rep during practice, maintaining stability at the tackle position.

Defensively, Michael Danna (quad) returned to full participation after missing Sunday’s game against Baltimore. His availability strengthens Kansas City’s pass rush rotation. Charles Omenihu (ankle) also practiced without limitations.

James Winchester (hamstring) rounded out the full participants, ensuring special teams continuity at the long snapper position.

Limited Participation Raises Questions

Kristian Fulton was the only Chiefs player with limited participation on Friday. The cornerback has been managing an ankle injury that caused him to miss the previous two games after playing in Kansas City’s first two contests of the season.

Fulton’s status remains uncertain heading into Monday’s game, potentially creating depth concerns in the secondary.

Looking Ahead to Monday Night

The Chiefs’ relatively clean injury report provides optimism for Monday’s prime-time showdown. With most key players practicing fully, Kansas City appears positioned to field its strongest lineup against Jacksonville.

The team’s medical staff will continue monitoring Fulton’s ankle condition over the weekend. His potential absence would place additional responsibility on the remaining cornerbacks in coverage situations.
