Denver Nuggets Forward Aaron Gordon has made history during the 2025 NBA Playoffs. He has pulled down at least 5 offensive boards and made at least 2 three-pointers 4 times in this season’s playoffs. No other player in league history has ever put up those stat lines more than twice in a single playoff run.
Gordon accomplished this feat in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers, Game 1 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Game 2 against Oklahoma City, and Game 4 against OKC. Gordon has also powered the Denver Nuggets to two victories this postseason with two game-winning shots. He converted a slam dunk in Game 4 against the Clippers and a three-pointer in Game 1 against the Thunder. He has averaged 18.3 points and 7.5 rebounds over 11 postseason games. Can Gordon maintain his strong performance as Denver looks to advance?
Denver Nuggets Prepare For a Critical Game 5
In a series tied at 2, the winner of Game 5 wins the series over 80% of the time. It is 81.3% to be exact. The Denver Nuggets will have their work cut off for them to take a 3-2 series lead tonight on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder are sizable 9.5-point favorites in a crucial Game 5 matchup.
If the Nuggets win tonight, Gordon must be as good as ever. More importantly, Nikola Jokic and Point Guard Jamal Murray must also be at the top of their game. The trio of Jokic, Murray, and Gordon has a championship pedigree. They must hope that experience overwhelms the young Thunder.
Final Thoughts
Gordon must continue attacking the offensive glass with reckless abandon and knock down his three-pointers. That recipe will allow the Denver Nuggets to keep the game close and possibly walk out of Oklahoma with a 3-2 lead in hand.
