Philadelphia Phillies Designated Hitter Kyle Schwarber had a memorable night in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. He made history by helping the National League defeat the American League in a home run swing-off. It was the first time an All-Star Game was decided this way. Schwarber was up to the task. He had three swings and hit three home runs. The designated hitter was the first non-pitcher in MLB history to win All-Star Game MVP without getting a hit in the game itself. How will he play in the second half of the regular season?
Kyle Schwarber Season Summary
Schwarber has been a big part of a Philadelphia Phillies team that leads the National League East by 0.5 games. This was the third All-Star selection of his career. As one of the best power hitters for years, he has been great in that department again in 2025. He is fifth in the league in home runs, eighth in RBI, eighth in OPS, and 10th in Slugging Percentage.
Final Thoughts
Schwarber and the Philadelphia Phillies return to the diamond on Friday for a three-game set on the road against the Los Angeles Angels. The star designated hitter will look to continue playing well in the second half of the regular season.
