Miami Marlins Left Fielder Kyle Stowers capped off one of the best two-game stretches in league history last night at home against the Kansas City Royals. He is the first player in MLB history with 5 home runs in a 2-game span including a walk-off home run. He is the first player since Ty Cobb in 1920 to have 8 hits, 5 home runs, and 11 RBI over a two-game stretch.
Stowers’ hot streak began before the All-Star break against the Baltimore Orioles and continued last night against the Royals. His great season led to him being named to the National League All-Star team. The left fielder is ninth in the league in batting average, 14th in home runs, and seventh in OPS. Will he continue making history over the weekend?
