Alright, let’s talk about the Michigan Wolverines and their trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. If you expected a high-flying aerial assault between five-star quarterbacks, you got… well, something else entirely. This wasn’t a finesse fight; it was a back-alley brawl, and Michigan brought the brass knuckles.

With Head Coach Sherrone Moore still serving his suspension, acting coach Biff Poggi just let the big boys eat. And boy, did they feast. Justice Haynes looked like a man possessed, gashing the Cornhuskers for 149 yards, including a soul-crushing 75-yard touchdown that left defenders gasping for air. Even freshman QB Bryce Underwood got in on the action, silencing the “Sea of Red” with a slick 37-yard TD run of his own early on. Just when Nebraska thought they could catch their breath, Jordan Marshall broke free for a 54-yard score.

When the dust settled, Michigan had piled up a staggering 286 yards on the ground, averaging a ridiculous 8.7 yards per carry. That’s not just winning the line of scrimmage; that’s owning it, renovating it, and charging rent.

A Defense That Bends But Doesn’t Break

Let’s give Nebraska some credit. They moved the ball, and Dylan Raiola had his moments, including a wild Hail Mary to tie it up at halftime. But every time the Huskers got close, Wink Martindale’s defense slammed the door shut. Raiola was sacked seven times, a number that probably has him seeing maize and blue in his sleep. Nebraska made it into the red zone four times but walked away with just 13 points. That’s the definition of a defense that refuses to yield when it matters most.

In the end, this was a classic Michigan Wolverines performance. It was gritty, it was tough, and it proved that no matter who’s calling the shots from the sideline, this team knows exactly who they are.
