Minnesota Twins Make History With Turnaround In 2 Straight Seasons

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins have gotten out of the gates poorly in consecutive seasons. On a positive note, they have been able to rebound in both of those years. They were 7-13 in 2024 and rattled off 12 straight wins. This season, after starting 13-20, they won 10 straight games. Even with a great turnaround last season, the Minnesota Twins missed the MLB Playoffs with an 82-80 record.

Minnesota is the first team in league history to be below .500 and then reel off 10 straight wins two seasons in a row. Minnesota clinched its 10th straight win earlier today by besting the Baltimore Orioles 8-6 on the road. Infielder Kody Clemens powered the team with 4 RBI. Will the Twins be able to keep stringing together wins?

Minnesota Twins Season Summary

Minnesota is in third place in the AL Central with a record of 23-20. The Twins have been led by a mediocre offense. They are 18th in batting average, 20th in home runs, and 14th in runs scored. No Twins player has stood out at the plate in 2025.

Minnesota’s pitching staff has been the strength of the team in 2025. They are sixth in ERA, ninth in strikeouts, fourth in WHIP, and 10th in opposing batting average. Starting Pitcher Joe Ryan has gotten off to a strong start in 2025. He is 19th in the league in ERA, 11th in opposing batting average, and third in WHIP.

Final Thoughts

The Minnesota Twins vie for their 11th straight win for a Thursday matinee against the Baltimore Orioles. Minnesota will look to keep up its winning ways and continue climbing up the standings in a competitive American League Central.
