The Seattle Seahawks selected Safety Nick Emmanwori No. 35 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Seattle made a trade with the Tennessee Titans to secure this pick. Seattle traded away the No. 52 and No. 82 overall picks in this year’s draft to grab Emmanwori. He is entering the NFL following a great season with the South Carolina Gamecocks. He had 88 total tackles and 4 interceptions. How will Emmanwori fit with the Seattle Seahawks?
Seattle Seahawks Draft Nick Emmanwori No. 35 Overall
Emmanwori will join a Seahawks defense that has some talent on the defensive line. Leonard Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence will give Seattle one of the most formidable pass-rushing duos. Seattle’s defense was mediocre last season. The team solidified that side of the ball with the young safety.
Final Thoughts
This is a shrewd move by the Seattle Seahawks. Emmanwori is the type of player Head Coach Mike Macdonald wants to have on his defense. Emmanwori’s NFL comp is Baltimore Ravens Safety Kyle Hamilton. Macdonald coached Hamilton when he was the Baltimore Ravens Defensive Coordinator. Emmanwori can be a cornerstone of Seattle’s new-look defense.
